Take for instance this hypothetical case:
A young girl (16) goes to a party. She dances and whatnot for a couple of hours, when an older boy starts talking to her, slipping extasy into her drink. He brings her to his room to show her his radio. The drug takes effect, and he has sex with her. The girl knows that she had sex, and who she had sex with, although she does not remember it. A few weeks later she goes to the doctor for a physical, only to find out that she is pregnant. She goes to the boy, who denies any responsibility for his actions (for whatever reason). The girl's parents do not approve of pre-marital sex, or the person with whom she had sex. Neither her, nor her parents can take care of the girl. The girl cannot afford to take time off work. She decides to have an abortion. Is it her fault? Did she make the choice to have unprotected sex? If you were in that position, what would you do? Would you think of abortion as a more viable option? If it is not the mother's choice, than whose is it?

Warm Regards,

Phillip Martin
