What Would The World Be Like If There Was God?

How would the world be different if there WAS God?For theists, this is an absurd question, because in their mind, there is a God. The better question would be how would the world be different if there was NOT God? Atheists please answer the "if yes God", theists the "if no God", and agnostics, take your choice.

If there was a God I would expect:

1. The world would be a much happier place. Why would God want unnecessary pain? Great emotional pain doesn't seem necessary in a universe where God can dry your every tear.

2. Socioeconomic conditions would be more similar (more like things were before civilization empowered some few to take advantage of the many)

3. War would not occur. Murder maybe still would. War is special evidence against the existence of God. How can God help good people to kill other good people? In murder, at least, bad people kill good people.

4. Serious crimes (including murder) probably wouldn't occur because everyone would see quite clearly that God was unhappy when they sinned and would not be willing to risk losing their blessings.

5. Atheism and agnosticism would be mental illnesses only. There would be so much evidence in favor of God that only some insane or otherwise obstinately stupid people would be unable to accept it (like modern flat-earthers).

6. Obedience to God's law would be nearly as common as obedience to the Laws of Nature are today. People wouldn't ask why obey because it would be so obvious. Only fools would disobey.

7. Religious transgressions, except on a minor scale and almost exclusively among children (who don't know better yet), would seldom occur.

8. The "laws of Nature" would be very different. There would be laws of obedience, faith, repentance, forgiveness, prayer, prophecy, etc. Even gravity might not be considered a law since it could be violated by anyone with enough faith.

9. For my LDS friends, if there was a God then the world would be like Satan's plan because his plan was superior to Christ's.

10. more.

The world would be a much different place than it actually is.
