Richard David Yannopoulos-Ruquist,

To answer my questions:

You've answered

> primary goal in life is to maximize your
> freedom of thought. QED

Your use of QED is premature.

First, is this idea a fact about nature, is it true? What experiments have been performed verifying it? What mathematical theory explains it? Or, is it just a reasonable idea we might agree to accept, but can't verify?

Secondly, did this idea come from God? Was it a religious prophet who claims to have gotten it from God, and that prior to his revelation it was unknown on our planet or was it a philosopher or a psychologist or other scientist who came up with it without regard to religion?

Over and over again science has come up with new verifiable facts, ideas, principles, laws, etc. about the universe that were unknown previously. Has God done the same?

If you're going to suggest the "maximize your freedom of thought" idea is a good one, I will suggest that THE primary goal in life (not just A goal) is to maximize our happiness. This has probably been accepted as important in some form since the first man asked himself what he wanted out of life. Will you say that this was an idea that came from God and religion even though it was certainly discovered before any of the existing religions, but might have been stolen by them?
