OK Let's look at this a different way.

We have the earth, and we have a beam of light, and we calculate the exact spatial coordinates from GR.

I claim that the beam of light if aligned parallel to a spatial coordinate, will not ever deviate from the direction of that spatial coordinate.

So if you clain that light falls to the earth, then I say the consequence is that space must therefore fall to the earth.

Doesn't that sound crazy?
