Harv,

The very essence of Christianity is Jesus.

You say Jesus was a "liberal humanist," -- I am interested in how (you didn't really get into this main point).

Harv said:"(which was the reason that Jesus' cruxifixion was rushed)."

Jesus was not crucified by Jews, harv, but by Romans; therefore the process and speed with which he was crucified had nothing to do with the Jews.

Harv said: "Well, today we have a modern version of these people so dedicated to a literal interpretation of the Hebrew bible. "

No, modern Christians are not interested in the literal interpretation of the Hebrew Bible. . .in fact that is one of the main points of Christianity. . .they are however, interested in the literal interpretation of the New Testimate.

Harv, you seem impressed with your own ability to judge Christian beliefs, but you have a very poor understanding of "real" Christian beliefs.

By "real" I mean those beliefs which Christians actually hold today (as opposed to the beliefs Harv thinks they hold). Have you actually talked with Christians who believe these things you say Christians believe?

A good book for you: Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

It might help you if you decide to do a little research.
