A=B and B=c, therefore A=c, just as you said.

To bear fruit you must die.

Since everybody dies (your scripture), everybody bears fruit. That is consistent with Jesus saying he would draw everyone to himself.

The point is that it is exactly the opposite of what fundamenatlists believe this passage says.
