Computers And Self-awareness.

It seems that computers are now evolving very fast, and are superior than human brain in many areas (especially when it comes to math).

May be it is time to think about how soon will we see some AI software which is self-aware?

What is self-awareness, by the way? How would you define self-awareness?

Is self-diagnostics software self-aware?

Is Windows operation system self-aware?
May be, 1% self-aware? Or 10%?

If not, what does it (current software) lack to become self aware?
