I suppose we could break our disagreement down to its fundamentals, the only way true sentience, free will, and souls can exist in a human is if:

A: The universe itself is alive and our existence is just a protrusion of that cosmic biology.

B: There is something special about life that fundamentally seperates it from the rest of the universe.

I assume you prefer choice B, because if A is true than of course computers can posess sentience. So tell me what that fundamental difference is.
