| Why Must Your God Exist?

People seem to us the "Well where did the universe come from?" or "The possibility of all of this molecular stuff happening to create life is so small, there must be a god!" arguments to prove the existance of their god. My issue is that, their argument only hints at the existance of a single or many gods, but in no way indicates that the religion they follow is the religion of this god(s). This argument could follow many paths, but the path I'm interested in, is the one that questions the legitimacy of the faith of a god they think exists and uses a logic to prove the existance of god, but certainly in no way do they even remotely prove the existance of their god. Why do they use this argument when it is so fatefully flawed. |
