I think it is all a joke. I think they are all arrogant, yes. I don't think any of them are worth the time or effort. So in answer to your question - all religous customers are arrogant and somewhat self-righteous by definition. I have friends and family that are organized in their religon, so I don't think "arrogant" has to imply a negative connotation all the time. In your situation.... it does!
