Hi Paul
yes, there's more twixt heaven and earth than
dreamt of in DSM IV...it's just a convenience.
I talked with them by phone about 13 years ago when they were revising the manual. I asked if they could diagnose functional problems without using a properly working person/ model as a standard...the way auto repair manuals do. This could help, since some diagnoses for years enabled power struggles to be resolved unjustly
by appeal to the Soviet mental health system and its resemblances here, where they occur.
Well, in reply, they said,"That would be REAL hard!"
Okay, so's brain surgery.

I like the child of God stuff. Some time,
the three areas posed for this thread could be hologrammed together to model for some pretty good literature and spiritual sociology.

I need a joke.
a glass of water was walking down the street.
A car drove by and splattered mud on it.
The glass of water shook its fist and said:
(punch line: choose one or make one)

1) "I got your license plate, you crumb!"
2) "Hey, that was my H2oe you just ran over !"
3) "If I wanted dirty glass, I'd eat at Joe's Diner!"
4) "Hey, that's no laughing matter!"

Those jokes make all other jokes funny by comparison.

Sleepy regards,
MIke
