You Read Too Much Into The Movie

Yesterday I finished reading "The Beautiful Mind". I highly, and strongly, recommend reading it to anyone who has even the most casual interest in John Nash, mental illness, mathematics, the Nobel prize culture, The Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, academia in general, or well-researched factual literature. If you have any one of these interests, you will be well rewarded; if you have more than one, you will be richly rewarded. It is a must read.

One of the things you will discover is that the movie, though well done, presents only a caricature of schizophrenia which is not factually accurate. Thus, you should form no opinions about the subject on the basis of the movie.
