If the curvature of spacetime goes to infinity all the laws of physics flaw including QM.So what you need is an explanation what happens when gravity reaches infinity, but such an explanation doesn't exist as far as I know.So the only alternative is to accept that according to GR the curvature really reaches infinity and all rules flaw which means that the singularity is nothing because the nothing is the only thing that is governed by no rules at all meaning that there is nothing in our very universe seen as the hole in the fabric of spacetime caused by the singularity.By the way thinking about singularity as nothing is a working concept-it simplifies Big Bang theory-instead of singularity in the beginning of time and nothing before and the question what created this singularity now there is simply nothing-just one entity. That's what we got when we dial with infinities!!!
