Lev.10
[9] "Drink no wine nor strong drink, you nor your sons with you, when you go into the tent of meeting, lest you die; it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.
[15] The thigh that is offered and the breast that is waved they shall bring with the offerings by fire of the fat, to wave for a wave offering before the LORD, and it shall be yours, and your sons' with you, as a due for ever; as the LORD has commanded."
Lev.16
[29] "And it shall be a statute to you for ever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict yourselves, and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you;
[31] It is a sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; it is a statute for ever.
Lev.17
[7] So they shall no more slay their sacrifices for satyrs, after whom they play the harlot. This shall be a statute for ever to them throughout their generations.
Lev.23
[14] And you shall eat neither bread nor grain parched or fresh until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God: it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[21] And you shall make proclamation on the same day; you shall hold a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work: it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
[31] You shall do no work: it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[41] You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD seven days in the year; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month.

However, a search for 'all people' did not produce any results regarding the commandments.

The New Year festival is mentioned in Lev 23:23 and in Numbers 29:1-6 without specifically calling it the new year or the birthday of creation or requiring that it be observed for all time.

As indicated above the 'all time' command was given for several other commandments.

So I do not know how I got the commandment to be 'for all people for all time'. From the bible it is not even clear it is a New Year celebration. Yet in the Good News bible and in King James it is referred to as the New Year. So that info came from someplace, maybe the Talmud which expands greatly on the bible.

So bottomline I have to refer you to Jesus saying you have to keep all the laws of Moses to make any of these laws apply to you. Not as literal as I had hoped.

Sinserely,

Richard
