All phenomena are related together by common laws of physics, so changing, say, speed of light makes not only changing strength of molecular bonds, but also size of molecules, rate of their interaction, etc. So, in many cases it only changes spatial or temporal scale of phenomena. Say, we would be smaller or bigger or would move faster.

Moreover, as all 3 fundamental forces are likely have common origin, change in one fundamental constant likely change ALL of them - again scaling up or down star or atom sizes.

Also, if due to change of fundamental constants, say Earth will no longer be habitable - there are zillions of other planets, moons, asteroids, comets, dust formations, and variety of other imaginable (=allowed by math rules we call natural laws) objects in universe becoming habitable instead.

So, no miracles here either - varying fundamental constants you may just vary the scale of events or kinds and variety of them.

Of course, it is possible to have a universe completely unsuitable for the carbon-based life we know - but who knows what other complex structures can develop in that universe instead?
