Has anyone seen a thought? Unless someone can answer yes to this, I propose that a thought is immaterial in nature.

The irony in this is, that the "thought" that all that exists is energy, matter, and physical laws, is itself, immaterial.

The only mechanism [idea or metaphysical hypothesis?] avialable to keep this line of reasoning from imploding on itself, is to declare that "thoughts" are an epiphenomenon of matter, energy and the physical laws.

Whether the above declaration is consistent with reality or strictly a consequence of minds that have succeeded [they think anyway] in kicking the "ghost out of the machine" is debatable, at best.

I am dis-inclined to grapple with it.
