Hi Brian,

Your views don't seem as different from mine as I had imagined they would be.

I can't tell if you understand me correctly from the label of 'deist'. Since those labels hold very little interest to me, I don't spend much time trying to figure out which labels apply to me. I am happy to accept anyone's claim that I am an ???ist. That way I can tell people what I am without understanding their labeling scheme or putting any work into figuring it out. Up to now, I thought I was a theist, but I never really knew -- or cared. I still don't. You can call me whatever you think is appropriate. Just don't infer what my beliefs are from the standard set of beliefs of that particular category.

I am not consistent, nor do I make a distinction, in the use of upper or lower case g's when spelling 'god'. I also couldn't see the distinction you were making.

>>>does this god owe his existence to some material effect?>That is, the who created god? scenario, that is often posed by the skeptics.>God is the Alpha and Omega, there was none before Him..etc.>[It] is essentially an article of faith [how could it be anything else?]. However, it does answer the question.>>Further, from His perspective from without, He would know the End from the Beginning, allowing Him the capability of writting history in advance.>>Even with this, I have certainly succeeded in putting Him in a box, which I have been guilty of before.>A solution to this is going out on a clear night, looking into the heavens, and knowing that His thoughts are not my thoughts...
