Don't Blame God For Religion

Phillip, i've wondered about this same thing, and many other similar things when it comes to the question of God. the interesting thing is that God not only permitts horrific events such as the Holocost but he also permitts nobel events such as the defeat of Nazi Germany by the Allies in World War II. God has made the sun to shine it's light on all people, be they good or be they evil.
it is apparent Phillip that God doesn't take sides but it is also apparent that the universe which would be by definition of God is constructed in such a way that consequences exist for acts of evil as well as acts that are good.
it would appear that it is up to each individual to decide what side he or she shall be on, God's or ?
