Would it be a lie if someone told me what they
believed was the truth about something
because they had been trained thoroughly in
that way of believing and had not rigorously
questioned their beliefs? For example, if they
told me in the year 1400 that the Earth is most
certainly a flat plane...would that be a lie
if they represented themself as actually KNOWING
something about which they had only a primitive
rumor to repeat?

And stuff?
