I understand that you're trying to sound sane. :) Your post made me mad, but don't take it personally.

Aaron, if God punishes people through no fault of their own (i.e. they were born Hindu or were born in New Zealand and never heard of Christianity) and condemns them to eternal torment because of the situation HE HIMSELF put them in, then that God is a sadist, a tyrant, and several other more colorful terms I can think of that I would write if not for your probably asking me to edit it for you and your virgin ears. However, nothing I could possibly write could be more offensive than the notion of a benevolent God who punishes all non-bootlickers. The very idea is abhorrent to me. To claim that such a God is "loving" and "caring" seems to require a really strange definition of love. Sort of similar to the love that John Wayne Gacy showed his children in his basement.

Would a father punish his misbehaving child to sit in the corner for all eternity? Would a father make no move to reward or punish his child throughout their entire lives, but then at the end of the child's life, condemn him to eternal suffering? NO loving human father would ever do such a thing to their child, no matter how wayward they may be. But your "caring" God seems to hand out tickets to neverending incineration as casually as a person swats mosquitoes.

Is that really what you think God is like? What an Language Removed.
