The verifiable truths are such things as Remote Viewing which has been studied by SRI and SAIC with CIA funding and published in the open literature as well as photographs of ghosts, which are subject to interpretation, and OBE experiences which have not been studied scientifically to any extent.

So the verifiable truths are obtained scientifically, but they imply a reality that consists of a separate supernatural world from our physical world. The separate world is not yet directly verifiable. Its an interpretation of the experimental results much like fields and particles are an interpretation of quantum mechanics. There may be other possibilities.

For example, astronomical data of spinning galaxies may be interpreted to imply the existence of dark matter. But as DrDick points out EM fields on a galactic scale could explain the data as well.



But that is all science and your question is what veifiable truths has religion ever taught us.

1. Abraham in his Book of Creation introduces the concept of compactification of 6 dimensins out of 10 in the creation of out world. Unverified as of yet, but that is the basis of string theory.

2. The universe was created out of nothing. Same as 1- unverified- but it is the basis of big bang cosmology.

Interesting that the two best scriptural truths have unverified physical theories. Perhaps you are correct. No religious and only a portion of physical theory can be verified.

But I find the need for verification too limiting in the search for an understanding of our world and any other.
