So why must everyone else accept them?

join your religion, you will never stop helping the worst persecutors of all. I am sorry if you are trapped and cannot escape from the persecutors who do not allow non-fundamentalism.

There is much good in Islamic history but I think most of it was done by free-thinkers, not goose-stepping obedient ones.
