Alex,

You've compromised much more to the theist than the theist has compromised to you. Theism already has a core belief of where God is in relation to the world and that hasn't changed much for large sections of believers for much longer than science has been around. I've already cited Heraclitus et al. who were saying these things 2100 years before modern science. Of course, it's obvious you had no idea what theists believed before modern science.
