Where has the current system lead us so far?

Clearly if there is no god, as you say, there should be no harm in prayer! For the time spent in prayer is better than spent in getting drunk etc. time spent on prayer helps some abstain from bad activities. How can some one who is spending time in prayer (talking to G_D) harm any one?

Prayer gives believers a hope that disbelievers do not have.
