You are right! I am glad that you point out only the good side effects. Now please be more balanced and write the other items. I as open minded as you are.

Reply:
Religion is not the cause of any of the above crusades etc. Perhaps we aught to give thought to why some true believers are on this forum too. It is because we believers wish to identify the culprits who use religion as an excuse to further their corruptness through envy and greed and lusts for power and dominion over the world etc. Religion can be of benefit to those who lead us because it is very hard for children and some adults to understand why they should become model citizens when they see or hear that religion is the cause of the strife. You are absolutely wrong in your argument here. It is the individual’s twisted sense of write and wrong that dictates to them how they use or misuse religion. There have been those who have even corrupted knowledge itself to where now we have to sift through useful knowledge and useless knowledge.

I pray that you will soon have a better view of those of us who practice well what is preached well.

Perhaps we should all find a way to distinguish believers by their conduct and not by their doctrine.
