A friend of mine has the CM1100 on the CI700 EQ mount. He upgraded to a 2" diagonal and eyepieces. With the EQ mount he did have balance probelms which Celestron didn't give him any assistance. They said the scope was made for 1.25 eyepieces and if you changed it, you fix it. He did add counter weights somewhere and it's OK now. Your scope has the fork mount. I read where someone else said there's no weight problem with the fork mount.
