The blocking of light pressure can explain what you have described , and the star SS433 also seems to provide the effect of a blackhole and an accretion disk yet we know it is a star and the companion is a neutron star that somehow gives off bursts of X-rays , a similar effect of what you have described .

Perhaps when science can literally explain why blackholes can give out jets of matter when its statement that no light can ever escape a blackhole seems to contradict .

( NO LIGHT MEANS NO LIGHT ! )

Any light escaping from a blackhole would at some point of departure have a slowing effect .
