Who says we can see into the past? The past consists of just memories in our mind. We can't remember every last detail as we can with the present. And what about deja vu? That's when the brain sends a stimulus to the brain, falsely, to say that it remembers this happening. A simple proof to show that we can not see into the past is that we can only go as far back as we can remember, not to when we first existed. If we truly could look into the past, then we'd remember our own births. The past is just memories.
