BSA Telescope

I have found in a mall a shop that has for sale a BSA Optics Eq Newtonian, 4.5`` f/4 or f/5. The person at the counter couldn`t give me any accurate information - the shop has mainly hunting accesories.
The price for it is around 300$.
There is a site bsaoptics.com (with the 3 w), but where I didn`t find any information on that.
Has anyone heard of this company?
Is it one of those `general store` 100`s of X scopes?
I know that there was a BSA co. that used to make motorcycles.
