Once Alien Life On Mars?

I believe there may have been life on mars at one stage like bacteria or gerns or something but not green skinned men but if there was once life on mars would it be possible to recolonise it. There are two polar ice caps on mars similar to earth melt these and you release water synomonous with the water cycle here water vapour released condenses forms clouds rains thus alien life may have existed there once.Plants and animals x could then be transported if the space technology was good enough |
