This is simply discovering that our universe's expansion probably is accelerating with time. And as it should be physical cause/force for this acceleration (sorry, no Allah(s) in sight), various mathematical reasons are proposed: non-zero mass of graviton (therefore limited range of gravity, making distant objects move away with higher than under "classic" gravity acceleration), or vacuum energy being converted into kinetic energy via pressure of this energy, or some unknown fifth force comes into play at large distances, etc.
