Although Paul said that he was the least of the apostles, he was still an apostle. The original twelve apostles were called and ordained by Jesus Christ, including Judas Iscariot. Your idea seems to be that Paul was teaching false doctrine. Paul was called and ordained after the crucifixion by the apostles. Your idea seems to be that he was preaching false doctrine of some kind. The fact remains that he was still an apostle when he was beheaded in Rome.
