Jesus told the lawyer that the law was fulfilled when He said that all the law and the prophets were under the two greatest commandments which are the Law of Christ, Love the Lord thy God, Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Paul the apostle gave some very good explanations of this principle, ie., Christ is the end of the law, love is the fulfilling of the law, the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, etc.
