Oh, I see.

Of course, I am not sure there is a real distinction there. Is x-ray diagnosis and treatment technological or bio?

How about sonograms, pacemakers, transplants, etc. Yes, consumer electronics probably don't do much for any REAL direct quality of life measurements.
But, you can sure be rushed to the hospital faster in a car than you can with a horse and buggy. And even the wheel was a technological advancement.

As we speak, medicine, food and assistance is being rushed to San Salvadore via airplane to aid the victims of an EQ. Thousands would die of disease and lack of treatment if it were not so.
