I have not really read in bible the origin of earth as ix billion years. I made this inference on the basis of what was written in the Bible and the Vedas. In both scriptures it was written tht in the beginnibg he earth was under water. This is in line with scientific thoughts. (Every drop of water and every molecule in the atmoshphere cme from space. In the beginning earth surface was molten because of sateroid impacts and water as steam sorrounded the earth. When earth cooled enough to hold liquid water, the earth was featurelss and earth sorrounded by water). According to Vedic writings this happend about 4.5 billion years ago. It is obvious either Vedic writers borrowed from Bible or Bible writers did the other way. There will be more explanations later.
