In Some Religion A Priest Or Higher Can Forgive A Sinner

I heard in some religion a priest or somebody high in the religious order can forgive somebody committing a sin if the person committing the sin asks for it. But we who are followers of Vedic philosophy, none has the power to forgive somebody’s sin. Even God is powerless to do that, because God does not play favorite. It is entirely upon the sinner to work and pay for his sins. If this person has a Guru, the Guru cannot forgive the sin, but he or she can show a way out. That is the reason there is a belief in our philosophy that if you find God, first bow to the Guru before God, because he or she showed you the way.
