RE:>> * It is often claimed by many ill-informed fundamentalists that every statement attributed to God by a prophet in the Hebrew scriptures is in fact the words spoken by God. But, here is an example where Jesus contradicts this very clearly: *
“A man who cannot rightly divide can find a contradiction where ever he looks.”
- Einstein?

RE:>> *[…] Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so."
Jesus was of course referencing Deutronomy: *
No. Jesus was referencing Deuteronomy with the reasoning back to the beginning -- that’s Genesis. The two become one flesh. (See Genesis 2:24)

RE:>> * Now, it is very clear from Deuteronomy that God had spoken these things to Moses directly - yet - it is also clear that Jesus had refuted this testimony as having come from God, but rather a compromise made by Moses (which is no where stated in Deutronomy as Moses' own words which differed from what God told him to tell the Israelites). *
While Genesis was the end of the commandment, Deuteronomy was a kindergarten lesson toward teaching (slow to learn) man. Why so slow ? Sin, my friend. Hardness of heart. Have you ever objectively evaluated what sin does to your learning capacity ?

RE:>> * Thus, it is clear that Jesus refutes the stance of biblical fundamentalists (who should know this as basic Christianity 101 since the 4th commandment is to keep the 7th day free from work and entertainment which is not kept in Christendom). *
Folly follows an unlearned man. The scriptures are easily divisible into the right contexts when the Author teaches you. While I’ll not defend all of quote “Christendom”, as that is not my purview, perhaps you would review a brief synopsis of reasoned logic which applies to the Fourth commandment today -- http://whitestonepublishing.org/sabbath.doc
My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

RE:>> * Fundamentalists are a sad lot since they do not even understand the basics of Christianity. *
There is only one basic -- you must be endwelt by the Holy Ghost. ( born again )
Without this you cannot understand anything but the basic -- and if you reject the basic, you are in danger of eternal damnation. I pray you know I do not mean this as a scare tactic, but as a loving warning. If I knew a bridge was out ahead of you and I kept my silence about it, would I be showing you love ?

I pray you know that I have prayed for you and will continue.

Love to you from the Saviour of the world through his servant.

Eric %^) God bless you with the saving knowledge and desire for His truth.
