is to assume the clocks remain synched after they are separated. The Standard model is completely relativistic. Particle experiments would render nonsensical results without taking special relativistic effects into account.

A guy I know, David Waite, sums it up

"The laws of relativistic physics are modeled by tensor
equations. Tensors are frame covariant and
tensor equations are frame invariant which is sufficient to
prove that there absolutely can not be any true paradox
concerning any physics described in terms of tensor
equations. Therefor no matter how much you complicate
your mind experiments you can have no paradox. You merely
make more room for you to leave something out which
demonstrates that it is not a paradox.
Usually what is left out is relative simultaneity."
