First they deny evolution. Then they accept it as God's plan. Then they claim to act FOR God in
mucking up the ecosystems. Yes, I agree scientists, working with their fellow citizens, have the "right" to tinker with ecology, since our bull-dozers, dam-builders, farmers, and city dwellers already have transformed a huge percent of the ecology. But we would be suicidal madmen to pretend divine endorsement of our activities without earning it by the elegance and goodness of the design. That is unlikely to happen any time soon, but is worth keeping in our sights, I think. Do you agree?

1. Allow evolution to improve the condition in the eco system.
This will require a long time for improvement and the introduction of disease extinction etc."

2. Use you inelegance to select and modify the species introduce to expedite the process.
This option may also allow the introduction of some complicated relationships between the species which would not occur due to natural selection alone."

My first inclination is that the second approach would be used if we were capable of it.
I was curious to see if some evolution fans might want to argue the first choice should be taken."
