Chesterton makes the argument, entirely original as far as I know, and perfectly solid as far as I can tell, that atheism and skepticism are akin to madness. It's too bad you think his flowers spoil the logic of his intellectual garden, but as the French say, chacun a son goût.

No offense to Chesterton, everyone has their way of talking, but I tend to ignore just about anything that reads like that kind of flowery language. I'm sure it's just me.
