Harvey,
The most straightforward book I can think of is a textbook, yes? But you must read other books as well. My point is, well, actually, I don't have one. But I find literature and the style of different kinds fascinating. I also find different people insights into literature interesting. That's why I asked you to define it: I just wondered what your opinion was.
