Life WILL be found elsewhere in the universe. That is a given considering the way that it forms. If you want to think about God and the book of genesis, look at my question concerning a photon. Math laws still need something to bring them into existence which is still the magical trick. And may I remind you about the comment of a science fiction writer about magic. Until a method is shown for how a math law can be created by itself, someone or something must exist for it. Ergo, a creature we call "God" but then, which comes first, the chicken (god) or the egg (the mathematical law)???
