hopefully Saddam wont become leader of the US.

i think the real villian in this war is Saddam.
he is a hate monger, not unlike Hitler was. religion with him is so high on the list. he uses it to isolate and control the Iraqi people and trys to use it to control the rest of the Arab world while his son rapes and murders. he led his nation to attack a relatively harmless and peaceful neighbor Kuwait. he used chemical weapons on his own people. he uses the word American as if it were a curse word. such a person as this must never have atomic weapon capability.

it is true that mistakes have been made in the conduct of the war during these first nine days and doubtless diplomatic errors have been made.

all are correctable. the potential for increasing the number of our troops in Iraq exists and certainly will be used as needed. the positioning of our forces has the makings of cutting off and encircling the major cities and strongholds of resistance. one major problem we are facing is wiping out resistance with out hurting innocent people and in the process getting our own people hurt.

the good thing about how this war is being conducted is that it is not Vietnam like in the sense that we are limiting our military leaderships use of force options in the same screwy way.

perhaps our political leadership is stupid as you say, but consider that they are the leaders of a nation the greatness of which history has never before seen, and also consider the relative stupidity of those leaders that ours are opposing.
