I believe George W. Bush and his cadre of
colleagues believe they are protecting America's ability to have decisive influence in the world in decades to come via the doctrine of Peace Through Strength.
I do not agree with some of their ideas
such as the idea that conservatives are "just plain better"
but it is hard to deny that within this country are many who have never understood the importance of the content of our Constitution.
It IS a document to be tinkered with...and has BEEN tinkered with. There is no reason to start
fresh with a new system.
