Creationism Is Not An Honest Difference Of Opinion

Creationism is a cult with some good intentions and some mere disinformation.
I spoke with a Creationist speaker on the way to his car after he addressed about 400 persons here a few years ago. I helped him carry some of his material.
He admitted privately to me that his main objection to
evolution is not its biological scientific merit,
but its ramifications for human public policy and
personal/social morality.

With that in mind, I thought back over his talk,
and the arguments posted here. I realized that their
basic approach is to try to dis-inform us about
our true natures because they don't feel we have the social mythology
to enter a more modern understanding.
This may be true of some folks. So for some folks, they are performing a service.
If YOU are not ready to admit that God created
a universe where bugs and bacteria are constantly eating one another and the lion cannot 'lie down with the lamb' for long due without special manipulations by human beings, then please do not
accept authority or fight our attempts to prudently enter the modern age.
What's your question, besides when am I going to shut up?
