Happens according to quantum theory when electromagnetic fields, which are real, not probability waves, collapse into Planck scale photons that then can interact with electron waves in the matter of your eye when they also collapse to Planck scale electron particles. Since in the collapsed or particle state their sizes are both on the Planck scale, they go into something like the unified field state and can then exchange energy and information.

Is this a sufficient explanation of an observation? Or do you just assume that there is no explanation and refuse to go further into quantum physics?

Richard
