where the concept of jobs in heaven came from. I respect your admission of not understanding things outside your scope of experience. Most posters just try to fake their way through.

It is very honest of you. And you seem to be interested in science. So I hope you take an honest hard look at the facts established by science that conflict with the young earth creationist position.

The most fundamental fact is the age of the light that astronomers detect from distant galaxies. This has to be refuted or YEC comes crashing down. After we establish the truth or inaccuracy of distant and old light, we can address the other perhaps less factual dating methods.

This fundamental problem is so serious to YEC that some of them are claiming that they universe is old but the earth is young. I hope you are honest enough to find this cop-out unacceptable.
