1. Physics is not circular in the sense that you can derive the axioms from the resultant equations. For example, the axioms of math which are basic to physics cannot be derived from the equations that result. Another example, Stafford cannot derive shift symmetry from his final equation.

2. The only logical justification for a physical law is that a prediction based on it agrees with experiment. Nothing else counts. If your cannot do the experiment, then its all metaphysics.

3. The standard model is based on a particle only description of physics. No fields. For example the paradox of the double slit experiment in this model is not a paradox as the virtual anti-particle coming back from the future knows which slit the photon went through. Electromagnetic fields are replaced by photons. There is no need for SHRODINGER’S EQUATION in this model. That should take care of the cats as well as the pigs.
