It's Not Lack Of Info, It's Politics

A great example is global warming. For years all the reputable scientists in this area have been telling congress and the President that global warming is a valid and very serious issue. But because means to deal with it would restrict corporate profits, the politicians have chosen to ignore the warnings of these scientists.

These same politicians have paid off disreputable scientists to say just the opposite, that global warming does not exist. They continued to do so even after the politicians in the rest of the world supported strong measures against global warming.

But now that it is becoming abundantly clear that global warming is real- like the Antiartica ice cap melting- these same politicians are beginning to support global warming as true, but offering measures that will not impact corporate profits, and will not stall global warming as well.

It is not lack of information, it is a lack of integrity that guides congressional policy on scientific matters.
