The idea of the eternal materialistic cause never escapes the dilema of infinite regress.

The idea that God is somehow a human construct is partially true, but only shows the reflection of His nature in ourselves. The God of truth reveals himself in nature, in natural law, in everything that is natural, why? Because naturalism cannot begot nature. It has to be created! Finally God also reveals His nature and plan through revelation which He inspires through who? His created beings that mirror the image from whom they were created.

I think the tide is now turning from the God of the gaps, to atheism of the gaps.
